MY SERVICES

I taught at Rhodes University; at 11 schools across Northampton, New Zealand, Durban, Johannesburg, Grahamstown and Cape Town; and spent 18 years as school head of two co-ed schools.

In 2014, I published a book on educational themes tailored for parents, my first official foray into parent coaching. I’ve experienced first-hand the trials and triumphs of parenting my own teens, whilst gaining an “outsider’s perspective” from the 1000s of families I’ve met through my academic career.

"Together we’ll find joy in the beautiful chaos."

Marc Falconer – Functional Parent Coach

It's hard to be a teen.

Toddlers act out and we hold their little hands through it. We patiently and lovingly teach them how to walk, talk, and thrive in their big, new world. Teens – not so much – as many parents feel helpless, hopeless, disempowered and under-resourced to cope with the change the teenage years can bring.

This can result in toxic relationships, unhappy families, and a teen who’s ill-prepared for adulthood. So, let’s imagine that your teen is just a big toddler, with big challenges, who needs to be held, comforted, supported, and given tools to navigate their new mind, body, and world.

Empowering Parents.

Nurturing Teens.

Through holistically-minded guides, advice, group and individual coaching, and so much more, ‘Parenting You’ will help you understand and overcome the extraordinary pressures that teens face. By supporting you, so you can support your teen, you’ll foster open communication, instil healthy habits, and create a beautiful, trusting and functional relationship.
